Speedy Travel Shopper is a PC based application that helps you answer all of these questions with a click of the mouse. Speedy is Windows based and easy to use. Speedy uses all of your host systems commands to get market information. Then Speedy checks to determine whether all the major GDS systems are displaying the same information as your host. If not, Speedy reports this information back to you in an easy to use format. Additionally, you can automatically send AVS messages to update the GDS errors. Speedy Travel Shopper is defined as a "decision support" system. It emulates the actions of an experienced user analyzing airline distribution within the GDS environment. Commands are entered in the airline's host system and in the GDS environment. The results are compared and any discrepancies noted. Speedy can improve an airline's yield and revenue by searching for product misinformation and inconsistencies with the GDS. Why is Speedy so important? Because of the amount of information housed on your host system and GDSs, it is virtually impossible to ensure all of your airline's flight information is showing correctly.
